A tanker carrying 33,000 litres of fuel felled and exploded on Wednesday morning at Barracks Bus Stop, along Mile 2 Badagry Expressway, leaving two persons dead and also burning five vehicles.
According to Mr Musibau Rasaki, Director of Lagos State Fire Service who confirmed the incident to News Agency of Nigeria, said that efforts were made to put off the fire from spreading to other areas.
According to NAN, the vehicles ran into the spilled contents and caught fire, some vehicles were able to escape while two were burnt beyond recognition.
