Blessing Okoro Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, is a Nigerian relationship and mental health expert, author, actress, and social media personality. She uses her platform to give candid advice on marriage, relationships, mental health, and trending issues, which sometimes spark debates online. The mother of two is also a fashion influencer known for her impeccable fashion sense.
Biography: Family
Blessing CEO hails from the Onicha Local Government Area in Ebonyi State, located in the eastern part of Nigeria. She was born on May 23, 1989. She grew up in a family of five children, consisting of four girls and one boy.
Education
She attended Moven Nursery and Primary School in Lagos. Her secondary education was at Federal Government College, Okposi, in Ebonyi State. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Calabar in Cross River State and completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Akwa Ibom State. Although she claims to have obtained a degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing a course in Law, the details of the institutions are not yet known. Blessing CEO further obtained a certification as a relationship expert from the Buehler Institute, an approved institutional provider for the American Association of Sexuality Educators and Therapists.
Career
Blessing Okoro worked with the Nigerian Police Force Pension for 3-4 years before she resigned to become an entrepreneur. She was also a blogger who owned a website, although it is no longer accessible. She later fully ventured into using her platform for relationship counseling, addressing issues related to domestic abuse, and women ‘s empowerment, which she started, according to her, as a result of past experiences and her background. Blessing is the founder of the platform ‘Break or Make Up,’ which is also dedicated to relationship counseling.
She is the author of the book ‘Depression (Take off the Mask)’. Blessing CEO has live broadcast episodes on DSTV called ‘Moments with Blessing CEO’ that also focus on issues pertaining to relationships.
She has also worked as an actress, appearing in a movie produced by Destiny Etiko Productions.
In addition, she has been a brand ambassador and influencer for brands such as ‘Love in the East’ and ‘The Dover Hotels.’ She has been an anchor, guest, and judge at events such as ‘Queen of Delta @ 33,’ ‘Seven of Seven’s TV show,’ and others. In 2024, ‘About Me’ magazine listed her among the 200 most influential women on Instagram.
Marriage
According to Blessing CEO, she got married at the age of 18. She cited domestic violence as the main reason she got divorced at 21 years old with one child. Later, she gave birth to another child at the age of 25. She has two sons.
Current Relationship
In the year 2024, Blessing started showing signs that she had fallen in love again. She shared the story of how a handsome gentleman entered her office, and they were immediately attracted to each other. On April 15, 2024, she announced that she was engaged to her fiancé, Ikechukwu Darry Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, and that marriage plans were underway. Since then, they have been sharing various pictures of their love life and activities.
Controversies
It is not news that Blessing Nkeiruka has been involved in many controversies and scandals. Blessing was caught in a web of lies when she claimed a house belonging to Onye Eze as her own. The real owner of the house later had her arrested, but she was subsequently released. Later on, she built her own house, which had always been her dream.
In March 2023, Blessing CEO made some comments on the death of Bimbo Ogbonna, the ex-wife of IVD, who died under mysterious circumstances. She was arrested and later released.
Blessing CEO surprised her fans when she decided to undergo liposuction and a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) to enhance her beauty. This sparked much debate, given what she had been teaching her female followers—a misconception that she later clarified.
Blessing CEO getting married to IVD, whom she stood by during her late wife’s saga, didn’t sit well with some people. She tried to correct this impression by stating that it was where she found love.
