The best time to look for Asoebi style inspiration is when there is a celebrity wedding in town. This time around, Davido’s manager, Asa Asika, and his bride, Leona Adesanya, gave us something to talk about with their unforgettable traditional wedding, which took place last weekend. It was a showcase of beautiful fashion styles that were truly captivating. The couple, who have Igbo-Yoruba origins, spiced things up with a fusion of the fashion styles from both cultures.
The predominant colors of the day were green and purple, which indeed gave an eye-catching fashion look. We paid attention to the stylish and beautiful ladies who graced the occasion, each ensuring she was not outshined. Corsets, frills, ruffled patterns, and off-shoulder designs were all on full display as the ladies walked elegantly in their various outfits. One of the things I observed is that some ladies felt more comfortable rocking their various hairstyles, while others stuck to the Gele head wrap for the traditional wedding.
