One of the things that make the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) an interesting event is that it introduces fascinating fashion styles each year. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, another irresistible style emerges from the event. AMVCA25 saw the attendance of various celebrities and personalities from all walks of life. The focus was not only on Africa, but I can say the world at large, because it was truly entertaining.
Roseline Afije, popularly known as Liquorose, gave us a fashion lesson, and we are here for it. Ever since she emerged from BBNaija, where she displayed admirable skills, she has continued to maintain her momentum throughout the entertainment industry. At last year’s AMVCA, she appeared in a very stunning outfit. This year, she not only appeared in a stunning outfit but also won the “Best Dressed” female award.
Liquorose looked elegant in her peacock-inspired blue Asooke fabric, a popular material among the Yoruba people. The addition of other colors such as orange, blue, and green gave the outfit a vibrant look. The upper part of the dress featured an off-shoulder neckline with an intricate V-cut pattern at the edges of the blouse. The skirt showcased the full peacock design, with a drape that started from the knee and a layered, floor-sweeping tail that had its base at the back. Liquorose complemented her look with eye-catching jewelry and embellishments. She looked like a “perfect bride” in her burnt orange Gele with her flawless makeup. Let me not also forget to reveal that her stunning dress was made by Fashion designer, Prudent Gabriel.
